Defensive Tactics
Trinity Training & Consulting Inc.
conducts Specific Defensive Tactics Training for Law Enforcement,
Corrections and Security officers. We can provide all of our clients
with a full defensive tactics training that meets FDLE standards or
it can be modularized to fit your needs. We also teach Advanced and
Specialized Training Courses in more advanced topics such as ground
fighting and suspect control techniques. Our students gain
proficiency in hand-to-hand techniques that are meant to gain
compliance with the minimum amount of force required to overcome the
suspect's resistance.
Students are trained in the use of the FDLE Totality of
Circumstances, ensuring that they will only use reasonable use of
force necessary to overcome suspect resistance. This not only helps
ensure that the suspect's Constitutional Rights will be honored, but
also helps to reduce both suspect and officer injury. These
principles are reinforced throughout the training.
Our Defensive Tactics Instructor Staff includes a National subject
expert, active police officers, correction officers from the Marion
County area who are versed in the latest defensive tactics
information, court cases, and are FDLE certified instructors. Using
the FDLE Curriculum, these instructors provide a safe environment to
learn techniques that will save their own lives and the lives of
others.
Students learn hand techniques, escort techniques, take downs,
handcuffing, baton techniques, ground fighting techniques, weapon
retention and disarming techniques. Students must learn these
techniques with no mistakes –we will train not until you get it
right, we will train until you can’t get it wrong.
Trinity Training & Consulting uses dedicated defensive tactics
facilities for its training, which includes padded floors, striking
bags and all necessary equipment for scenario based training.
